The 2018 Annual Hill Climb - 20th October

The 2018 Annual Hill Climb - 20th October

There is a stupid tradition in British cycling culture which says October will be hill climb month. Hill climbing is all about finding a short hill and riding up it as fast as you can. Like all racing it sounds very simple!
This year's hill climb will see us return to Belmont Hill
The hill is about 3/4 of a mile long and will take somewhere between 4 and 8 minutes to climb. After which you can either enjoy a social ride or go home enjoying the fact you did a race! We will meet at the Pump House at 9am and ride gently over to the top of Belmont, where we will issue numbers, ride to the bottom of the hill and set people off. Only some people will be taking it seriously, for the rest of us, it's one final crack at racing before Winter arrives in full force. See you there!
