BADTri says goodbye to Andy Bullock

BADTri says goodbye to Andy Bullock

As those who regularly swim in his sessions will be aware Andy Bullock is leaving BAD Tri to pursue a new role based in Germany. Andy has coached for the club since its beginnings and as Head Coach for the first 12 years was responsible for building up the number and mix of coached sessions we offer. The committee would like to thank Andy for all the time and effort he has committed to this club.

Andy's departure will have an affect on the two sessions he coached. This is the current plan for his sessions.

Monday 6:00-7:30am Hengrove A/B/C Session: There will be no coach for September or early October a session plan will be shared with swimmers so they have a plan. From mid-October Russ Cox will take over coaching this session.

Thursday 6:00-7:00am University A/B Session: We haven't been able to find a coach to cover this session. We will provide a session plan for swimmers. If a coach becomes available, they will take over the running of the session.

So for at least the next 6-8 weeks these sessions will not have a coach, but will have a plan. In October the Monday session will be coached again, but unfortunately Thursday will remain uncoached. Even without a coach the sessions should still represent good value for money - we're cheaper than a public swim and the lanes will be organised!

This seems like a good time to mention that we are always looking for new volunteers to help with coaching. The club will offer support and training for all volunteers.
